At first i wasn't excited about it at all because i absolutely hate road trips. They always lead to trouble whether its getting travel sick, getting lost, packing and unpacking, etc its such a pain in the arse in general. But to my surprise just like San Antonio it was a really nice place. Last time i was in New Orleans it was raining, wet and freezing cold and only passing by so we didn't have
time to spare. So you could imagine my surprise to find the weather mild instead of freezing. New Orelans gives a simple hint of what you could expect to see in maybe a city like Paris and London.
Most of the two days was spent in the french quarters, called french quarters mainly because the french used to be there some few centuries ago thus the name french quaters. The streets there are tiny, cramp and only one way are filled with voodoo shops, gift shops selling T-shirts with weird logos & MASQUERADE MASKS, cafes and reek of booze. Did you know you can just walk around with open beers in the streets of New Orleans? They sell so many masquerade masks, you walk down the streets and see dozens of shops selling masquerade masks so it's only a matter of bargaining to get the best deal.
Until Next time :) I'm leaving for my cruise to the caribeans tomorrow so that's exciting, i'll be my first time ever on a cruise.
Lien,
Funny story.Funny shit, Anyways it was raining, pouring on the second day sadly and on the way back home one of our cars ran a red light and next thing boom a big 4 wheel drive had drove straight into it. That happened only when going out of the city with a 6hr drive still left a head of us, luckily the car was still drivable. But then after 4hours the same car got a flat tyre. So there they were on the side of the road on a FREEWAY. When this was happening the other car (the one i was on) were at McDonalds waiting to meet up with them, we ordered our food and were eating in. Pior to receiving our food, we get a phone call about the flat tire and need to drive back to "help them out" so had to hurrily ask for takeaway bags to pack up all our food. They were pretty far behind due to driving slowly incase the car went kaboom or anything. So we get there and spot the difference and see a car pulled over on the side of the road, the trouble now was how the fuck were we to get to the other side of the freeway? Couldn't U turn theres a concrete barrier, so we tried to find the exit to cross to the other side. Note once off the freeway, it's pitch black the only source of light is from your car, there are no other cars around.(we're getting close to houston but still considered the middle of fucken nowhere). Okay ever heard of a movie based on a true story called Texas chainsaw massacre? well basically people who get lost in the middle of nowhere, wander off to some farm in seek of help and get killed in the most gruesome ways possible. It's true because some person managed to escape and retell. But back to my story, so we're trying to get to the other side of the freeway and almost drive into some really dark dirt road which looks like it could lead to a farm and my cousin next to me begins screaming cause he sees something move, false alarm but scares the shit out of me. We finally end up on the other side but not exactly on the freeway but parrallel to it. Then wait for them to change the tire and then drive back first cause the other car has to go slowly, like real slow 30-40miles/hr to be exact WHICH IS LIKE SO SLOW FOR FREEWAYS which is around 60-80miles/hr.
True story.
